Bank Gives Grants to Businesses in California and the Pacific Northwest

Union Bank FoundationThe Union Bank Foundation, a non-profit corporation of Union Bank, supports businesses in their communities with grants for businesses whose purpose is to help to create and sustain healthy communities. The grants serve the interests of affordable housing, community economic development, education, and environment.

Non-profit organizations whose business meets needs in these areas may be eligible for grants ranging from $25,000 to $100,100. The purpose of the grants is to support services that benefit low- to moderate-income populations in California and the Pacific Northwest. Eligible businesses must be located in these areas and be not-for profit.

The grants include services that provide home ownership counseling or foreclosure prevention education; small businesses in distressed, rural and low- to moderate-income communities that provide job training, internships and financial education; organizations that offer scholarships for youth from low- and moderate-income families; and companies that focus on green initiatives.

Small businesses whose focus matches the foundation's grantmaking categories and receive grant money will continue to receive grant funding for three years, provided their performance continues to meet the qualifications.
