Mom and Pop Small Business Grants Available in Miami

Neighbors And Neighbors Association (NANA)
Small business owners located in District 3 of the city of Miami, Florida can apply for up to $10,000 each in grants in the district's Mom & Pop Small Business Grant Program. Grant money may be used for equipment, supplies, inventory, commercial insurance, renovations, installation of security systems and even marketing and advertising.

District 3 includes the Miami communities of Liberty City, Little Haiti, Overtown, the Upper East Side, Edgewater, Buena Vista, Allapattah, Wynwood, Venetian Causeway and Watson Island; Brownsville, Biscayne Shores and Gardens Park area, the Village of El Portal and the Village of Miami Shores. Grant applications are open through February 24, 2014.

Eligible businesses must be for-profit enterprises with no more than seven full-time employees and in business for at least one year. Home-based businesses may also apply. The grant is being offered by the Neighbors And Neighbors Association (NANA).

Neighbors And Neighbors Association (NANA) was originally established in 1995 to create a working relationship among small grocery stores. The non-profit organization offers both the Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program and the Micro-Enterprise Assistance Grant Program to provide financial and technical assistance to small businesses.
