Apply Now For a $100,000 S&T SBIR Grant
What is a S&T SBIR Grant?

The S&T SBIR Grant is offered to companies who develop projects that have scientific and technical merit. It is offered every year through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Applications are being solicited for 2016 proposals for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program by the Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate and the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO).

How much are the grants?

For 2016, first phase grant awards are limited to $100,000 for S&T SBIR projects. Second phase awards are given to recipients who complete first-phase projects; awards are limited to $750,000 for S&T SBIR projects, and are up to 24 months in duration.

Who can apply?

Small businesses are welcome to apply. Applications are particularly encouraged among under-represented groups, such as women-owned small businesses and socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses. Each applicant must be focused in one of the designated areas of technical solutions sought by both S&T and DNDO.

What are the deadlines?

Applicants must respond by January 20, 2016 2:00 pm Eastern. All proposals must be submitted through the online proposal submission system.
