Girls Going Places Entrepreneurship Award ProgramThe Girls Going Places Entrepreneur Program gives grant money away every year to girls between the ages of 12 to 18.Applicants must demonstrate a keen interest in entrepreneurship, and must show how they are making a difference in their communities and schools. Sponsored by Guardian, the program grants prizes to 15 girls who demonstrate budding entrepreneurship; are taking the first steps toward financial independence; and are making a difference in their schools and communities. Every year, prizes totaling $30,000 are granted to three top winners and 12 finalists to further their entrepreneurial pursuits or save for college. Typically, applicants must submit a 250-word personal statement addressing your thoughts on entrepreneurship, business leadership, financial independence, or giving back to the community. They are also required to submit a 750-word letter of recommendation endorsing you as an accomplished young entrepreneur, typed on 8 ½ x 11 paper, written by an adult.
