Oklahoma Town Gives Grants To Three Expanding Businesses
In a small town called Enid, Oklahoma, the Enid Regional Development Alliance (ERDA) has recently announced the winners of its first annual Downtown Grant Awards program.
The board of directors had announced earlier this year in March that it would begin to offer up to three grants each year to new or expanding businesses downtown. The grants are valued at $5,000 each, and the criteria for the grant awards were that the business be located in the Enid city area area bounded by Elm on the north to Garriott on the south, and Adams on the west to the railroad tracks east of 2nd on the east.
Five businesses submitted grant applications, and the award winners for 2012 are Wheat Capital Running Co. LLC, 4RKids Foundation and Soapweeds & Cactus. The recipients were selected by a committee of ERDA members.
