Indianapolis Chamber and JPMorgan offering up to $5,000 in Grants

The Indy Chamber and JPMorgan Chase & Co. are partnering up to to offer grants to small companies that want to take their business international. help companies pursue international customers. Thanks to a $200,000 donation from JPMorgan Chase, small companies wanting to go global can apply for grants up to $5,000.

The grants are structured in the form of matching funds to help small businesses with the costs associated with exporting. The funds can be used for business and marketing costs associated with pursuing international customers.

Deadline

Qualifying small businesses have until April 15, 2016, to apply for a grant. The GoGlobal Grant Export Acceleration Program covers costs such as export plan development and training, trade shows and conferences, and other export support services. Qualifying companies must be in business a minimum of 2 years, have primary operations based in the nine-county Indy metro (Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, and Shelby counties), and priority will be given to companies with less than 250 employees and annual revenues less than $20 million.

Purpose

The grant program is designed to increase export growth in Indy's nine-county metro area, foster a diverse and resilient economy, and support job creation and job retention.
