IT’S A START Business Pitch Contest Open to Entrepreneurs

Could you pitch your business in just 5 minutes -- enough to win up to $10K in cash for your business startup? For the fifth consecutive year, IT'S A START Business Pitch Contest is looking for small businesses in Canada to pitch their creative and innovative ideas for improving lives.

Deadline is Friday, January 27, at 5:00 PM

Enter now for your chance to win cash for your business. Qualifying businesses include those who have been registered for three years or less. The contest is open to entrepreneurs, creative professionals, new startups, or recent graduates who have innovative projects they want to take to the next level. Applicants begin by applying online before the deadline.

Business idea categories include mobile apps, wearables, social innovation, gaming, interactive or other digital design initiatives.

Pitch your idea

Semi-finalists will be chosen from among applicants to attend Creative Camp Weekend March 4, 2017 at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario. Here they will be asked to submit their business model and a 60 second video presentation of their business idea by March 24, 2017.

Finalists will be selected to pitch their business in 5 minutes before a panel of judges and a live audience at Digifest which will be held April 27-29, 2017 at Corus Quay in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Winners will receive up to $10,000 total in cash, working space in the Digital Media and Gaming Incubator at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario, mentorship, Digifest 2017 festival passes and more.
