For the fourth consecutive year, Sam's Club is funding a national competition to celebrate small business owners and entrepreneurs from across the nation. Two small businesses from each state will receive a grant, and three Grand Champions will each win $25,000. A total of $177K will be awarded to small businesses.
Win a grant up to $25K
The American Small Business Championship is being launched by SCORE, a non-profit organization that helps small businesses by providing free small business mentoring sessions, workshops and educational services. Small businesses across the nation may enter the competition for a chance to win up to $25,000.
To be eligible, small businesses must have been in business for at least one year. Applicants must submit an essay on "What one unique aspect of your business will make you succeed over the next year?" The essay can be in the form of a written essay of 1,500 characters or less combined with a photo, or a 30-60-second video. The deadline is February 13, 2017.
Sam's Club is the nation's eighth largest retailer. Through The Sam's Club Giving Program, the company supports small businesses across the nation with grants, as well as improved training, education and increased access to capital for small business owners.
U.S. small business owners can apply to be a Champion through February 13, 2017 at www.championship.score.org.
