The Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network (MAGNET) has awarded $150,000 in grants in the last two years to entrepreneurs in NW Ohio. The organization holds an annual pitch competition for NW Ohio entrepreneurs. This year, six recipients received grants, resources and connections to help take their products and ideas to the next level.
The annual [M]SPIRE is a regional business competition for product-focused startups and small manufacturers in Northeast Ohio that want to grow their business. The competition is open to entrepreneurs or established small manufacturers. The purpose of the competition is to help small businesses expand by offering grants and subsidized consulting services that will help bring their products to market.
Winners receive a combination of interest-free loans, subsidized engineering projects, and direct entrepreneurial coaching. The grand prize winner receives incubator space, and up to $10,000 in matching funds for services at MAGNET.
