Small business owners in the greater Miami area have until November 22 to sign up for a program that will give them practical business courses, information on financial capital, and powerful networking opportunities to help their businesses grow.
To qualify for the free program, businesses must be established with demonstrated growth potential, have four or more employees, and revenues of $150,000 to $4 million. They must also be in business for two or more years.
The attendee must be either the owner or co-owner of the business. The program includes 10 classes, networking events and business support clinics. Small business owners will receive personal business counseling, and expert business advice as well as technical support from the program sponsor, Goldman Sachs, as well as other local business organizations.
The program is made possible through a $500 million grant from Goldman Sachs which has funded the program in other cities, such as Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York and Philadelphia. The program is offered free to small business owners. Miami Dade College will operate the program at its School of Business.
