ICCC Is Hosting Small Business Executive Education Seminars in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Memphis and Dallas

Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC) is a national program designed to help small businesses located in economically distressed areas find more resources for capital and continue to thrive. The goal of ICCC is to help small businesses achieve long-term business growth.

About the program

The company was formed in 2005 and every year since it's beginning it has offered free one-day seminars with information that is critical to small businesses, such as finance, marketing, hiring and much more. Knowledgeable business speakers from notable schools such as Harvard teach inner-city small businesses how to overcome obstacles in financing and job creation. All speakers have business experience and many are also from entrepreneurial backgrounds.

How it helps inner-city small business

According to ICCC, inner city businesses generally raise about 20-50 percent less growth capital than non-inner city businesses, thus limiting also their ability to create more jobs and to grow. This financing gap significantly limits the ability of inner city businesses to grow and create jobs in their communities. The seminar teaches business owners where to find capital and how to position themselves to attract investors.

The seminars culminate with the ICCC Conference at Fortune Magazine in New York City on November 19-20, 2014. Some companies will be invited to present their businesses to capital providers who will be present at the ICCC Conference.

The ICCC program is a product of The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC), a nonprofit research and strategy organization and the leading authority on U.S. inner-city businesses.
