There is a saying "Teach a man to fish and he will never be hungry." A nonprofit organization in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, has the right idea when it comes to their small business community. Teaching small businesses how to find grants, loans and other funding sources will be the main topic of their upcoming workshop.
The workshop is presented by SCORE Bucks County, a nonprofit organization that is associated with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The workshop will be held on September 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Small business owners are encouraged to attend.
Topics
Funding continues to be a tough challenge for small business owners. There are many funding sources available, but small businesses don't know they exist. So, the seminar will discuss financing options such as micro loans, venture capital, and angel investors. Experienced speakers will present information; breakout sessions will offer even more opportunities for one-on-one discussion and learning.
How to organize a workshop
Workshops are an effective way to bring small business owners together with those who can help them find funding. Any small business owner interested in organizing similar workshops should contact their Chamber of Commerce.
