Funding criteria
Eligible companies must be non-profit organizations who have been in business for at least one year. The nature of their business must fall into the following categories:
- Adult work and self-sufficiency programs: This includes vocational training and job placement.
- Youth development: This can include working with students to foster interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field, academic tutoring and mentoring, teaching youth leadership skills and character development, and teaching youth how to be financially literate.
- Public policy: This category includes goals such as personal responsibility and leadership, protection of individual rights, upholding American traditional values, and preserving democracy.
First-time organizations as well as returning organizations may apply for grants.
The Adolph Coors Foundation was established in 1975 by Bill and Joe Coors from the estate of Adolph Coors, Jr. Since it's beginning, the Foundation has provided a total of 6,207 grants for a total of $237.4 million.
