A total of $500,000 in grant prizes will be distributed, with eight finalists each getting $50,000, and one grand prize winner receiving $100,000. In addition, winners receive free office space in the KC Innovation space for a year, mentor teams and professional services, such as legal, financial or marketing assistance.
Bring your business to Kansas City
Tech entrepreneurs locally, regionally and nationally may apply. It is open to entrepreneurs who are already located in Kansas City OR are willing to relocate to KC. Basing their business in Kansas City is a requirement for receiving the grant.

The grant competition is sponsored by several Kansas City-area organizations, led by the Downtown Council and the Economic Development Corp. of Kansas City. Since the program began in 2015, LaunchKC has awarded $1 million in cash grants to 20 startup businesses willing to relocate to Downtown Kansas City.
