ShopKeep POS, the point-of-sale specialists with offices in New York and Washington, D.C., want to show how important small businesses are to communities and to those who live there. They are offering them financial support in the way of a grant competition called 'Small Biz, Big Ideas.’
Six businesses will be awarded grants. The grand prize is a $10,000 grant, and five runners-up will each receive $1,000 grants. The grants will help small businesses make their business goals a reality.
How to enter
Small businesses may enter the contest by submitting their business idea in 500 words or less on Facebook. Judging will be done through a combination of public voting and ShopKeep judges.
Who can enter
Entrants must be a small business owners who have 20 or fewer employees. Owners must be over 18 years old, U.S. residents, and have solid businesses in good standing. Residents of Rhode Island are not eligible.
Interested business owners must submit their entries by June 12, 2014.
