UTC grants are available in three primary areas: building sustainable cities, advancing education in the areas of science/technology/engineering/mathematics (STEM), and improving communities. All projects seeking funding must provide support in communities where UTC employees work and live. Eligible companies may locate UTC locations and apply for a grant online.
Grant focus areas include:
- Building sustainable cities - building cities that are environmentally friendly, safe and energy efficient to protect people, assets and natural resources.
- Improving communities - supporting community revitalization initiatives, and providing programs in health and human service, arts and culture.
- Advancing STEM education - fostering education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics that will build the next generation of engineers and scientists.
UTC also supports funding in the area of emerging markets. This includes projects that expand business opportunities and support communities through employee engagement in China and India.
