Small and mid-sized businesses in Buffalo, New York can receive grants up to $25,000 just by hiring engineering students. The grants are being offered by the University of Buffalo to companies who hire engineering students from the University of Buffalo to help with company projects.
Who is eligible
Companies who are eligible include manufacturers, financial institutions, government agencies and non-profit organizations. The grant money can be used to help pay for the students' wages. The grants help fund undergraduate or graduate students working with small or mid-sized companies on short-term engineering projects up to 12 or 16 weeks. Grant money may also be applied to the one-semester TCIE Engineering Fellows program.
The program is being offered by the University of Buffalo - The Center For Industrial Effectiveness (TCIE). TCIE is a specific program which connects the University at Buffalo School of Engineering and Applied Sciences with organizations seeking technical assistance and consulting.
