About the tour
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has two small business innovation research and technology transfer programs, known as SBIR and STTR. Through these programs, funding is available to entrepreneurs and small businesses who qualify.
From March through August, 2015, the SBIR Road Tour will bring federal and state program managers to discuss the programs with small business owners. Here are some of the dates and locations:
- March - Louisville, KY; Nashville, TN; Atlanta, GA; Columbia, SC
- April - Long Beach, MS; Ruston, LA; Oklahoma City, OK; Wichita, KS; Columbia, MO
Other cities are on the tour list for the months of May, June, July and August. A total of $2.5 billion in early stage funding is available for entrepreneurs in the areas of technology and innovation.
