Global financial giant JPMorgan Chase & Co. is once again launching its annual Mission Main Street Grant program. The program will award $100,000 grants to 20 U.S. small businesses. Small businesses have until June 5, 2015, to apply.
Eligibility requirements
Eligible businesses must have less than 100 employees, be a for-profit-only organization, be in business for at least two years, and be owned by or have at least one general partner who is a legal resident of one of the 50 U.S. states. Grant money can be used to expand and grow a small business. This can include purchasing equipment, open a new location, or buy product or a distribution channel.
Candidates must answer 5 essay questions, completing each in 200 words or less. After submitting an application, qualifying businesses must secure 250 votes for their business by June 19, 2015, in order to continue on to the final selection of candidates.
The purpose of the grant competition is to help small businesses across the nation grow and to educate others about the importance of small businesses within our communities and the impact they have on our lives and our economy.
