Steve Harvey's new TV show, the new “Steve Harvey’s Funderdome,” invites inventors on the show to go head-to-head to compete for seed funding. The show premiered June 11 on ABC and is sponsored by GoDaddy.

GoDaddy Inc., a publicly traded Internet domain registrar and web hosting company, is not only a sponsor of the show but is also offering their support for small business inventors with expert coaching. The show is performed in front of a live studio audience that plays the part of a customer to determine who has the best product or service. The inventor with the most votes is the winner.

Funding up to $100K

Funding on the show ranges anywhere from $10,000 to $100,000. The contestants are inventors who can use the money to take their company to the next level. Of course, just appearing on the show also has its benefits in the way of free publicity.

ABC is planning 13 episodes of the show. Producers are looking for, “Mom and pop businesses, unique and interesting products, or creative ideas that just need a little more money to jumpstart their next phase.”
