Small businesses are important to Sam's Club, and qualifying non-profit organizations who help them may be eligible for a grant from Sam's Club Community Grant Program. Applications may be submitted any time during the funding cycle, which begins each year on February 1, and ends on December 31.
How to apply
The grant program offers grants in four major areas, including Hunger Relief & Healthy Eating, Sustainability, Women's Economic Empowerment and Career Opportunity. Non-profit organizations who are engaged in activities that benefit communities in any of these four areas are eligible to apply for a grant, as well as government entities, churches, private schools and colleges.
Eligible organizations must be located in communities that are within the service area of a Walmart store or Sam’s Club. The grant money must be used for the program and does not cover expenses for advertising, fundraising, memberships, salaries, research and other expenses. Qualifying organizations may submit up to 25 applications for a grant.
Grants range from $250 to $2,500. Grants are offered through the Walmart Foundation.
