Every year the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recognizes small businesses around the country during National Small Business Week. Now is the time to think about nominating your favorite small businesses for a chance to be named National Small Business Person of the Year.
Awards given in 15 categories
Awards are given in 15 different categories, including exporting, outreach, contracting, lending, disaster recovery, manufacturing and research and development, and more. Winners are named at the state and territorial level, and then compete for the National Small Business Person of the Year.
Competition and awards are held in Washington, DC. National Small Business Week honors small businesses that make neighborhoods thrive, add jobs, increase the economy, and are responsible for two out of every three net new jobs in the U.S.
